我愛面膜 I love masks

There are many many many types of facial masks out there. How do you know when to use what? Let's take a look at these masks and help you find the right one to use and the right time to use them

Masks typically fall into 2 categories: Cleaning and Nourishing
Deep cleaning masks should be used no more than once a week and no less than every 2 weeks. You don't want to stress your skin too much by using it too often, but you should definitely do a deep cleaning mask every week to 2 weeks to clean up the pores the way that daily facial wash cannot do.

Most deep cleaning masks are in the forms of scrub or mud. For example: Blue Corn cleaning scrub by Body shop, Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask by Clinique or Sugar Face Polish by Fresh.

For nourishing masks, there are many more forms. Traditionally, you can find the fabric or paper forms: Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Brightening Mask .
Watsons Stretchable Mask for Intensive Hydrating (sorry cant find a link, you can see the picture below) - This mask is awesome, because it can be stretched to completely seal your skin. There are 2 little hooks cut out at each side of the mask for you to hook the mask onto your ears, so the mask will not fall or move. And the cream on this mask is so nourishing, it feels like feeding milk to your skin.
